






Action-Packed Fun: Interactive ECA Program!
Keep kids curious and captivated with Koaleyos immersive Nature Classes — tailor-made for Prep to Grade 6 groups! Our sessions are packed with hands-on activities, outdoor discovery and learning that feels like play.

All classes are STEAM-focused, encouraging busy young minds to question, explore and discover the wonders of nature. Budding nature-lovers will leave feeling amazed and buzzing with excitement!
Each term will include:

Student collection: Prep and Grade 1 students will be collected from under L Block – all other students will make their way to the room directly after class. A class roll call will be conducted at commencement and conclusion.

Week 2: Theme: Air plants and carnivorous plants
Activities:
- Planting plants!
- Testing how carnivorous plants work!
Week 3: Theme: Bees and Honey
Activities:
- Tasting different types of honey
- Making beeswax candles
Week 4: Theme: Relaxation in Nature
Activities:
- Mindfulness meditation
- Making lavender and possibly chamomile pillows
- Cloud gazing (pending weather)
- Journaling (in your own take-home book)
Week 5: Theme: A native land animal and native sea animal
Activities:
- Record keeping, exploring maps, using a tape measure, reading animal prints
Week 6: Theme: Exploring Australia!
Activity:
- Making sand art! Australia has so many sand colours.... and loads of other cool things!
Week 7: Theme: Rewilding and Wild Places on Earth
Activities:
- What does wild mean? Do some people still live in the wild? Looking at some case studies
- Looking at extraordinary rewilding projects around the world including those undertaken in Costa Rica and Bhutan
Week 8: Theme: Natural wonders of the world!
Activities:
- We fly around the world, learn amazing things and stamping our take-home passports!
Week 9: Theme: Jobs to help our natural world
Activities:
- Exploring 3d printed coral, robots, and three interviews with amazing people!
Week 10: Theme: Eggs plus Easter Eggs!
Activities:
- Making paper mache eggs
- Guessing who's egg is who's
- Egg hunt with reusable eggs
- Ladybug or Butterfly Release! (parent / carer attendance if possible)
- Plant pots – take home!
- Certificate with Fujifilm instax photo
- Take home bag with stickers

Week 10: Mock-Camping and learning safety tips with dangerous animals
Activity: Assembling tents, eating damper and marshmallows plus torch light stories
Activity: Quick safety tips on snakes, spiders, jellyfish and other animals (eg how to put on a bandage and use vinegar to help with jellyfish stings)
